United States International Tax Briefing 1: Revisiting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and BEPS Pillar Two Update
Monday, 15 May – 9:30 am to 11:30 am
It has been more than five years since the implementation of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017. The TCJA set in place numerous changes to the United States’ international tax regime, and increased tax reporting considerations for taxpayers with U.S. presence. Since the dust has settled on many initial questions that arose during the flurry of information released in 2017 and 2018, this presentation will walk through key updates and present a focused examination of the current state of the U.S. international tax system. Additionally, the presentation will provide an overview of the U.S. tax system and considerations for inbound investors. Finally, Pillar Two will be discussed and certain parallels and differences will be noted between the Pillar Two rules and U.S. taxation.
